What I learned
❖ Meteorology is the study of events that occur in the atmosphere – especially weather, the causes of weather changes, and weather forecasting. The main cause of weather changes is the Sun.
❖ In the sky we can observe clouds of different shapes and sizes. In meteorology, they are divided into different groups. They are called by Latin names and represented by agreed symbols. According to their composition, they are divided into water, ice and mixed clouds, depending on their height – high, medium, low and vertical clouds, and according to their appearance, they are divided into three groups: stratiform, cumulus and wavy clouds.
❖ The atmosphere is the air that covers the Earth. It is where the weather is formed. Air density, atmospheric pressure and temperature decrease with increasing altitude. According to the change of air temperature with altitude, the atmosphere is divided into layers – spheres that have different properties. The main layers of the atmosphere are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, stratosphere and exosphere.
